The North Pacific Cannery is thrilled to host the first annual Intertidal Music Festival! The full-day festival is set for July 15th and will draw community members, First Nations, visitors and artists from across the province to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary and 150 years of salmon canning in British Columbia at the National Historic Site. With these two sesquicentennial events in 2017, North Pacific Cannery is the ideal location to commemorate these monumental anniversaries and give reason to celebrate the North Coast community's rich heritage like never before!

The Intertidal Music Festival will introduce over a dozen bands and artists from the region and the Lower Mainland on two large stages, plus one smaller, more intimate, site venue, sharing their performances with an anticipated over 1,000 guests. So far, we’ve got these bands hitting the stages!

Humans · The Racket
Music Works Kids Junior Rock Band · Woodshed Supply Company
Frances And Sarah And Friends · Simbiyez Wilson · Men Who Listen · The Brazen Harlots
Swilly · The Surfin' Dudes · Chad-E-Ose · Chris Williams

Come check out the Cannery Café’s regionally famous menu and enjoy three of Prince Rupert’s finest food trucks! Local, award winning Wheelhouse Brewery will be introducing its Canada-150 Red Ale (available every 150 years) at the event, while numerous prizes and exciting giveaways will also be raffled to fortunate festival-goers.
